What Camera Would You Recommend?

We had a little mishap over the 4th of July weekend with our camera. It was sitting on the patio table at Greg's moms home during our BBQ. We had taken some fun pics of the kids playing on the slip and slide as well as enjoying their yummy meal. When Grandma went to gather up the table cloth and take it down to the washer, the camera was gathered up and washed as well!

We have had this camera for about 4 years now and I have not really researched or looked for new cameras for quite some time. So, please tell me if you have a favorite digital camera that we should look at purchasing. I need to get one soon so we do not miss out on any fun memories.

Thankfully, I had recently downloaded pictures and we only loss our Children's Museum trip and the 4th of July festivities!

Hi Christa-
It is so good to hear from you and see your cute kids and sweet new baby. Hopefully you are coming to the cousins barbeque on the 18th so we can see you guys.
I have a Canon Rebel that my Dad gave me that I love. My dad is really into photography and he swears by Canons, I think any of the Canon Powershot series are good.

See you later!

Hello there phone buddy! Sorry about the camera! We just bought the Sony, Cybershot & it seems to be really good! My brother works w/ cameras & he has said most digitals are going to give you the generally the same benefits? It's when you buy a DSLR that you can really become a professional! Oh & tell Syd I'm so proud of her graduating from preschool! :) Talk soon!

A Nikon SLR like a D50 or D60.

I love my Nikon and after 5 long years and many many many falls to the floor it has expired itself.

We have started looking at cameras and no matter how cute the little pink and blue ones are - if it doesn't say Nikon - I really don't want it.

I have loved my nikon d50, but the lens recently broke, so I'm debating about upgrading lenses or just getting a whole new camera altogether. I don't really think it matters what camera you get (between Sony, Nikon and Canon). If you are used to Canon and you like it, stick with that brand.
